Senator Imee Marcos' Generosity Provides 10 million Educational Assistance to 2000 KSU Students in AICS Program

Senator Imee Marcos, adopted Kalinga daughter with native name Laggunawa, extended her benevolence to Kalinga State University by granting a substantial educational assistance of 10 million pesos to support 2000 deserving students through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), on November 5, 2023, at the Kalinga Astrodome. Each of the 2000 beneficiaries was granted 5,000 pesos from this budget allocation.

The initiative was made possible through the dedicated efforts of KSU President Eduardo Bagtang and Provincial Governor Hon. James Edduba.

President Bagtang expressed his warm welcome to all the guests and recipients and gave emphasis on Senator Imee’s support, who was represented by Kurt Justine Santiago.

Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang, represented by Mr. Regie Wacas acknowledged Senator Imee’s Support to the Kalinga Students, emphasizing on the senator’s advocacy for the students’ welfare.

The event was attended by the KPPO personnel headed by the Provincial Director, PCol. Freddie M. Lazona, who assured the security of said event.

To receive the financial aid, students are required to present essential documents, including the Assessment Form, Certificate of Enrollment, and a valid ID. This generous support from Senator Imee Marcos promises to make a significant difference in the lives of these 2000 KSU students as they pursue their education and aspirations.
