Kalinga State University Promotes Clean Campus Initiative with CLAYGO and “Bring Home Your Trash” Campaign

 

 In a move to foster environmental responsibility and address waste disposal challenges on campus, the Kalinga State University Office of General Services (KSU-GSO) has launched a new initiative centered around the principles of "Clean As You Go" (CLAYGO) and “Bring Home Your Trash.” This campaign encourages students to maintain cleanliness by taking responsibility for their waste, reducing litter, and promoting sustainable habits. 

Kalinga State University Launches Initiatives to Enhance Irrigation and Campus Lighting for Community Development and Cultural Preservation

Kalinga State University, in collaboration with the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) and Tabuk City’s IMPR Office under the leadership of Benigno Duyan, is implementing a groundbreaking solar-powered water pump project which was launched on September 3, 2024. With a budget of PHP 10 million, this initiative is set to provide sustainable irrigation to KSU's farms, significantly improving agricultural productivity and ensuring a reliable water supply to the campus.

Embracing Sustainability: KSU Launches "No to Plastic Wednesday" Initiative

In a move towards sustainability and environmental responsibility, Kalinga State University has launched an initiative called "No to Plastic Wednesday." Every Wednesday, the university is taking an active stance against single-use plastics by implementing a university-wide ban on plastic items, encouraging students, faculty, and staff to avoid using disposable plastic products and opt for more eco-friendly alternatives.
