Languages Department Boosts Partner School's JOURNey

The Department of Languages continues its partnership with Cudal National High School with its implementation of an intensive mentoring workshop for the school's student-journalists, as part of its Journalism Education for All (JEFA)Extension Program.

The specific project titled JOURNey: A Campus Journalism Mentoring Schedule for the Journalists of Cudal National High School (Phase 3) was conducted on January 16-17 and January 28 at the Alumni Center.

KSU Joins 30th Kalinga Founding Anniversary and 6th Bodong Festival Grand Kick-Off

Today’s grand kick-off of the 30th Kalinga Founding Anniversary and 6th Bodong Festival was participated by the Kalinga State University officials led by the University President, Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor.

The program was held at the Capitol Park, Capitol Hills, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga with the theme, “Rooted in Culture, United in Progress: LUMIN-AWA KALINGA.” The theme reflects the province’s deep respect for its rich cultural heritage while embracing unity and development. It was initiated by a thanksgiving mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Andres Malawis.

KSU Conducts Extension Training on Safeguarding Indigenous Deer Hunting Traditions in Colayo, Pasil

The College of Agriculture Extension Training Service spearheaded a vital conservation initiative through the project titled Safeguarding Indigenous Wisdom: Empowering Conservation Measures for the Deer Hunting Traditions in Pasil, Kalinga. Led by Dr. Ruby Orange B. Agyao, the training emphasized the role of indigenous knowledge in sustainable wildlife management and conservation.

KSU and DICT-CAR Award Starlink Kits to 27 Kalinga Barangays, Strengthening Digital Connectivity

In collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) - CAR, Kalinga State University hosted the awarding of Starlink Kits to the 27 eligible Barangays in the Province of Kalinga and Training on the setup, including installation, and maintenance of Low Orbit (STARLINK) Wifi to the said beneficiaries. The event held today, February 04, 2025, at the RnD Hall, Bulanao Campus.

Team KSU Attend Cordillera Heritage 101 Book Launching, Faculty Training, and Bamboo Industry Development Program Project Exhibits

The Cordillera Administrative Region Association of State Universities and Colleges (CARASUC) successfully hosted the launch of the Cordillera Heritage 101 book, alongside the Faculty Immersion and Training Seminar (FITS) and the Bamboo Industry Development Program Project Exhibits and 2025 Fund Implementation Planning. This three-day event took place from February 4 to 6, 2025, at the Great Eastern Hotel, Quezon Avenue, Quezon City.

Empowering Entrepreneurs: KSU Online Radio Launches BizBuzz with Expert Insights on Digital Marketing

KSU Online Radio recently hosted a special program featuring CETHM Dean Dr. Karen Razelle Duyan and guest speaker Mr. Kevin Racraquin from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on January 10, 2025. The program delved into effective digital marketing strategies, covering key areas such as social media marketing, content marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing, and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising.

Testimonial Program Honors Newly Licensed Agriculturists and Teachers

Recognizing their achievements and dedication, newly licensed agriculturists and teachers were celebrated during a heartwarming testimonial program conducted by the College of Agriculture at the KSU Amphitheatre.

Led by the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Dr. Ferdinand L. Ganotice, the program honored 18 newly licensed agriculturists and 2 licensed professional teachers (LPTs) who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BS Agriculture) from different batches.

KSU and STCI Forge Partnership to Enhance Library Services

Kalinga State University and St. Tonis College of Bulanao have formalized a partnership to enhance educational resources through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on January 20, 2024. The signing ceremony, held at the STCI Board Room, was attended by KSU President Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor and STCI President Dr. Kathleen Rose I. Guimbatan, along with librarians and staff from both institutions.

KSU and BJMP-Kalinga Sign MOA for College Education Behind Bars Program

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Kalinga State University and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) – Kalinga District Jail signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) formalizing their partnership for the implementation of the College Education Behind Bars (CEBB) program yesterday.

The MOA signing ceremony was held at the BJMP-Kalinga facility, led by KSU President Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor and BJMP-Kalinga Warden, JSINSP Noel G. Dulnuan.

Tabuk City, Kalinga – January 21, 2025 – Kalinga State University (KSU) and the City Office of Tourism, Culture, and Arts today signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at the Mayor's Office, marking a significant step towards advancing cultural preservation, artistic development, and sustainable tourism within the city.
