KSU College of Agriculture Dean Completes International Summer Course on Tropical Agricultural Sustainability

Rex Langngag, Dean of the College of Agriculture at Kalinga State University, completed an International Summer Course Program in Bogor, Indonesia, held from September 2 to 9, 2023. This esteemed program, a project in partnership with the Philippine Commission on Higher Education (CHED) under the Leveling-Up Philippine Higher Education Institutions in Agriculture, Fisheries, and Natural Resources (LevelUPHEI AFAR) initiative, aims to strengthen the institutional capacities of State Universities and Colleges in the Philippines.

Kalinga State University Upskills 100 Faculty and Students Through ReSkills Platform

June 25, 2024, Kalinga State University (KSU) took a progressive step in faculty and student development by selecting 100 participants—53 faculty members and 47 students—for advanced upskilling via the ReSkills platform. This initiative, endorsed by the Faculty Training Development Center (FTDC) and approved by University President Dr. Eduardo Bagtang, demonstrates KSU’s commitment to fostering an adaptable, skilled workforce prepared for global opportunities.

Kalinga State University Joins 1st Australian Education Fair, Explores International Career and Education Opportunities for Students

February 2, 2024 – Kalinga State University (KSU) representatives participated in the inaugural Australian Education Fair 2024 held at the Golden Pine Hotel in Baguio City. The event, a collaboration between CHED Cordillera and Global Heights Consultancy, was held with the Philippines-Australia Joint Meeting on International Collaboration in Higher Education, bringing academic leaders, consultants, and Australian university representatives together.

Empowering Resilience: Kalinga State University's CLEARS Project Mobilizes Community Against Rain-Induced Landslides

December 2023. The Community-Level Evaluation and Assessment of Rain-Induced Landslide Susceptibility (CLEARS) project, spearheaded by Kalinga State University with funding from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and KSU itself, is empowering communities in the Cordillera region of the Philippines to actively evaluate and manage their susceptibility to landslides caused by precipitation.

KSU hosts: 2024 Cybersecurity Advocacy Awareness and Promotion of DICT-CAR programs in Kalinga

Simultaneous with the opening of the University’s 2024 Intramurals, Information Technology (IT) officers from various government agencies, municipal local government unit, including the City and Provincial Local Government Unit joined the IT students of the university in the conduct of the 2024 Cybersecurity Advocacy awareness and Promotion of DICT-CAR programs in Kalinga.

Kalinga State University Advances with Six Programs Undergoing Accreditation

From October 9 to 11, 2024, Kalinga State University is set to have six programs undergo rigorous accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP). Three of these programs—Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, Master of Science in Rural Development, and PhD in Community Development—will be evaluated under the 3rd Survey, Phase II.

Kalinga State University Non-Teaching Staff Participate in National Clean-Up Day 2024

In observance of National Clean-Up Day 2024, the non-teaching staff of Kalinga State University participated in a community clean-up drive on September 24, 2024. This initiative was spearheaded by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office in collaboration with the Tabuk City Local Government Unit, alongside various government and private agencies.
