Kalinga State University Shines at WURI Global Conference 2024 with Innovative Achievements and Global Recognition

Kalinga State University made a significant global impact by participating in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) Global Conference 2024, held from September 24-26 at the Seoul School of Integrated Sciences & Technologies (aSSIST) University in Seoul, Korea.

The conference opened with a declaration from WURI Honorary President Dr. Oh Myung and a keynote speech by Member of National Assembly Honorable Eun Hye Kim. KSU was represented by Dr. Karen Razelle M. Duyan, who actively engaged in various conference activities.

KSU Supports Strengthening Peace Engagement: Media Orientation in Baguio City

On September 23, 2024, the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) and the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), through the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), held a media orientation focused on localized peace engagement and transformation in Baguio City. The event aimed to enhance the government’s peace information campaign and foster a shared understanding of peace within communities. DOST-PTRI launches sericulture facility in KSU-Rizal Campus

The Philippine Textile Research Institute (PTRI), the premier textile research and development arm of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) inaugurated the first ever Silk Filature Facility installed at the Kalinga State University, Rizal Campus in Barangay Bulbul, Rizal, Kalinga last April 29, 2022. CHR Conducts Trainer’s Training for KSU Center for Human Rights Education

The Commission on Human Rights- Cordillera Administrative Region (CHR-CAR) successfully conducted a comprehensive training session on the Center for Human Rights Education (CHRE) for designated KSU trainers on September 18-19, 2024. This event took place at the Research and Development Training Hall and was attended by 23 designated KSU CHRE trainers along with student representatives.

KSU- Information Office sustains partnership with PIA-Kalinga: Bringing government information and development programs closer to the public.

The Philippine Information Agency-Kalinga recently organized the Ikalinga Network of Information Officers and Workers (IKNOW) which composed of all Information Officers of the different local government units and line agencies in Kalinga.

KSU Alumni Federation partners with the Rotary Club of Tabuk in the administration of a Free Eye Refraction

One of the highlights for the university’s founding anniversary celebration is the administration of a Free Eye Refraction sponsored by the KSU Alumni Federation and the Rotary Club of Tabuk City.

According to Mr. Lou Marshall Banggawan, University Alumni Coordinator, this is a yearly endeavor which caters to the medical needs of the university personnel and the students who are experiencing eye problems.

Kalinga State University Demonstrates Unity and Compassion in Providing Aid and Hope to Bontoc Fire Victims

In a heartwarming display of solidarity and compassion, employees of Kalinga State University (KSU) joined hands through the CHED-CAR PROJECT CARE initiative to extend a helping hand to those affected by a devastating fire. The generous donations, totaling PhP 22,400, were a testament to the benevolence and empathy of the KSU community.
