OPSD, CHED Launches Building Indigenous Knowledge for Inclusivity and Sustainability (BIGKIS) Initiative in KSU; A Step Towards Empowering Indigenous Communities in Education and Research

Tabuk City, Kalinga - On May 25, 2023, OPSD Director Cherrie Melanie A. Diego with CHED -CAR and Central Office proudly launched the Building Indigenous Knowledge for Inclusivity and Sustainability (BIGKIS) initiative in KSU. The event took place at M Hotel and brought together educators, scholars, and experts dedicated to advancing Indigenous knowledge systems, cultural preservation, and sustainable development. It was participated by the SUCs and HEIs in the Cordillera Administrative Region such as IFSU, MPSPC, BSU, ASIST, ASC, KSU, CCDC, KCP, SLU, UB, UC, CA+CT, SLCB and KCP.

Kalinga State University and Cooperative Development Authority Forge Partnership to Enhance Cooperative Education and Training

Kalinga State University (KSU) and the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) have recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on June 6, 2023, to enhance education and training for cooperatives in the country. This partnership aims to improve the quality of training provided by Cooperative Training Providers (CTPROs) through the conduct of Training of Trainers.

Kalinga State University Engages in the Provincial Interagency Flag Raising Ceremony, Commemorating Cordillera Month, National Disaster Resilience Month, Nutrition Month, and Unity Gong Relay

In a show of unity and commitment to regional autonomy, officials and staff members of Kalinga State University actively participated in an interagency flag raising ceremony on Monday, July 3, 2023 at the Kalinga Sports Center. The ceremony marked the commencement of various significant events, including the 36th Cordillera Month, National Disaster Resilience Month, Nutrition Month, and a provincewide Unity Gong Relay.

S.A.F.E SKILLS TRAINING: Capability training program for provincial security group of the PLGU-Kalinga.

The launching of the S.A.F.E skills capability training program for the Provincial Security Group of the Provincial local government of Kalinga was held at RND Training Hall KSU main Campus, Bulanao.

This undertaking was conceptualized, organized, and implemented by the concerned agencies and offices- The Kalinga State University, the Provincial Local Government of Kalinga and the Professional Criminologist Association of the Philippines, Kalinga Chapter.

Kalinga State University Hosts Successful PCSMT 3rd-4th Quarter Joint Council and Secretariat Meeting

Kalinga State University hosted the PCSMT 3rd- 4th Quarter Joint Council and Secretariat Meeting, held at the University Alumni Center on November 30 to December 1. 2023.

Reinforcing the programs of the Philippine Consortium for Science, Mathematics and Technology (PCSMT), KSU President, Dr. Eduardo T. Bagtang welcomed all the participants involved in the Consortium.

In line with the celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service anniversary, Kalinga State University (KSU) actively participated in the "Blood Donation and Medical Consultation: Let’s Donate Blood Today" event organized by the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU), in partnership with the Provincial Health Office and the Philippine Red Cross - Kalinga Chapter.
