KSU and PHO Launches “Rock for Health and Art for Life” Campaign to Promote Smoke and Vape-Free Communities

The Provincial Health Office of Kalinga in partnership with Kalinga State University conducted a Live Band and on- the- Spot Poster Making Competition in support for the Kalinga Provincial Ordinance No. 2024-011 or the Comprehensive Smoke and Vape Free Ordinance of the Province of Kalinga.

KSU-CEIT Partners with SK-Bulanao for GAD Seminar-Workshop Collaboration

The Kalinga State University College of Engineering and Information Technology, in collaboration with its Social Science Department and the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Bulanao, led by SK Chairpersons Jury Zen Tabanganay and Jhun Miguel Bas-ilen, conducted a Seminar-Workshop on Digital Visuality in Cultural Identity Construction with Gender and Development. Held on November 12-13, 2024, at the KSU Research and Development Hall, the event brought together student leaders from KSU's three campuses, as well as participants from other schools such as ISAP, KNHS, and KCST.

Psychological First Aide Seminar

A Psychological First Aid (PFA) seminar was conducted for non-teaching personnel

to prepare them to respond in the immediate aftermath of an emergency. When non-teaching

personnel are trained in emergency protocols and have knowledge of techniques to reduce

anxiety and establish calm, they are better able to handle the emergency and be of help to

those affected.

The first lecturer of the seminar, Ms. Irene Daguasi, discussed the overview of mental

With the theme, "Advancing Data and Statistics Through Digital Transformation: A Road to an Empowered Nation", the Philippine Statistics Authority - Kalinga conducted its 28th Philippine Statistics Quiz Competition in celebration of the 35th National Statistics Month, hosted by Kalinga State University. It was held today, October 30, 2024, at the 2nd Floor, RnD Building, Bulanao Campus, which brought students from the different colleges, KSU Officials and PSA staff.

Empowering Resilience: Kalinga State University's CLEARS Project Mobilizes Community Against Rain-Induced Landslides

December 2023. The Community-Level Evaluation and Assessment of Rain-Induced Landslide Susceptibility (CLEARS) project, spearheaded by Kalinga State University with funding from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and KSU itself, is empowering communities in the Cordillera region of the Philippines to actively evaluate and manage their susceptibility to landslides caused by precipitation.

DOST-PTRI launches sericulture facility in KSU-Rizal Campus

KSU clinch spots in international quiz bowl

Two students of Kalinga State University notched places in the 3rd AUAP Student Academic Olympiad International Virtual Quiz Bee Competition hosted by San Pedro College, Philippines on April 18-19, 2023.

Joy Christine Candelario, a BS Education student and Jhun Miguel Bas-ilen from the BS Accountancy program bested other competitors from Asia and the Pacific as they landed in the 2nd and 4th places, respectively.

The KSU team also included Justine Capito, a Forensic Science student.
