KSU’s Enhancing Industrial Energy Efficiency through Power Factor Correction: A Study on Power Saver Development

September 13, 2024.To optimize energy usage and reduce operational costs, this study investigates the development of a power factor corrector designed to improve the efficiency and reliability of industrial electrical systems. Led by engineers Christian Louie B. Adora and Danilo C. Falgui, this research focuses on correcting the power factor—a measure of how effectively electrical power is converted into usable energy—to minimize reactive power and maximize real power utilization in industrial establishments.

Kalinga State University Launches Technology and Innovation Center to Foster Sustainable Community Development and Smart Campus Initiatives

October 10, 2023-Kalinga State University has initiated the construction of a state-of-the-art Technology and Innovation Center to transform scientific research into marketable products and technologies. This project is designed to support KSU faculty and students, aims to bridge the gap between academic research and industry, particularly in areas vital to sustainable community growth and the advancement of KSU as a Smart Campus.

Enhancing Research Efficiency: Kalinga State University’s Two-Day Training on Streamlining Research Processes

Kalinga State University office of the Vice President for Research and Development, Extension, and Training conducted two-day trainings on Streamlining Research Processes: Enhancing Capabilities and Harmonizing Operational Processes, on October 1-2, 2024, at Conference Room, Research and Extension Training Center.

KSU President, Dr. Eduardo Bagtang, recognized former Congressman Laurence B. Wacnang for his initiatives towards the construction of the KSU gymnasium, Bulanao campus.

The purpose of the intimate gathering was mainly to recognize the former Congressman Laurence Wacnang for his continued support during the construction of the building. Dr. Bagtang said, Wacnang's generosity and support have been instrumental in providing students and faculty with a state-of-the-art facility for sports and recreational activities. The university personnel especially the pioneer Faculty of then BIBAK-NAS now KSU-Laboratory High School are grateful for Wacnang's dedication to enhancing the campus experience for all.
