Kalinga State University recently hosted a comprehensive research training program titled "Connecting to the World: Internationalization through words," aimed at enhancing the global reach and impact of academic research. The program, spearheaded by proponents Ms. Ethel Jovy G. Wacas, Ms. Abigail Q. Ocay, Dr. Pinky Larcelle L. Gas-ib, and Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor was designed with key objectives in mind.
These objectives included assessing the Sustainable Development Goals awareness among faculty researchers, facilitating an in-depth understanding of internationalization through research, and fostering the requisite skills for effective research publication and collaboration.
Dr. Mark B. Ulla, an Assistant Professor and Head of the Research Department at Walailak University in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand was invited to lecture on topics such as Internationalization through research, Research Collaboration, and Publication and Experiences in Research Collaborations which include Challenges and Reflections. He is in high demand for his extensive expertise and knowledge with 48 Scopus publications and 313 citations. Joining him is Dr. Jengjeng M. Bolintao, the Director for Quality Assurance at Ifugao State University (IFSU).
Participation in the event was exclusive to Research Chairpersons and two representatives from each college, reflecting a commitment to fostering research excellence at all levels of academic leadership. This initiative underscores KSU's dedication to elevating research standards and embracing global perspectives through international collaboration, paving the way for impactful scholarly endeavors in the university.
