Last night’s program showcased the opening of the CARASUC Athletic Meet with the PADATONG Program which means, a welcome program for all the delegates from the 6 State Universities and Colleges in the Cordillera Administrative Region.

In his message, Dr. Eduardo T. Bagtang said, “There is one that we should not forget- Sportsmanship, we should all renew friends as one cordilleran.

He further said that the presidents in the cordillera move as one region, ready to compete and mingle with other regions.

Meanwhile, Dr. Eva Marie C. Dugyon, President of Ifugao State University expressed her heartfelt gratitude to KSU for the warm welcome. On her behalf, she also gave the commendation of the CARASUC, being this year’s chairperson of said association.

In her closing remarks, Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor, the Vice President for Administration and Finance expressed her gratefulness to all the delegates. “Hosting this event is a pleasure, we hope to see the spirit of friendship and solidarity among all of us.” She added.

This year’s CARASUC Athletic Meet theme, “Sustaining Sports, Culture and the Arts for National Building during the Post- Pandemic” showcases camaraderie and friendly competition among participating the six universities.
