With the aim of ensuring quality education as one of their core functions, the Legal Education Board which facilitates the Philippine Law School Admission Test visits the Kalinga State University-College of Law last February 7, 2020.

According to Judge Marcelino Wacas, dean of the college the primary objective of the visit is for the evaluators to suggest some improvements specifically on the physical facilities, administration, library, instruction, laboratory and management of the university.

Some of the findings by the LEB according to him is the update of the College Manual, one subject should be changed into three units instead of two units, the update of syllabus by the faculty and some other minor suggestions.

“The visit is a regular activity of the LEB in which they shared several best practices of some universities offering Bachelor of Laws also, with the intention of helping us improve our performance during the Bar Exams”, mentioned Atty. Errol Comafay.

The one-day evaluation was led by Commissioner Catherine P. Pedrosa together with Atty. Jerome Francisco Ll. Antonis II, Ms. Blanca Mica U. Capati and Ms. Rovick R. Relleve.

It can be recalled that the Kalinga State University started to offer Bachelor of Laws in 2011 and was able to produce seven (7) lawyers who successfully hurdled the bar examinations.

“We are very grateful to the administration for the continuous support and with this we again seek their help on how we could implement the suggestions and recommendations by the LEB”, concluded Atty. Comafay.
