Kalinga State University Showcases Best Practices at 1st GCC International Research Conference on Global Citizenship Education.

Kalinga State University (KSU) representatives joined global researchers, experts, and advocates at the 1st GCC International Research Conference on Global Citizenship Education (IRCon GCED), a three-day event dedicated to exploring emerging issues and trends in transformative education across the ASEAN region. The conference brought together local and international voices to discuss progressive approaches to Global Citizenship Education (GCED), emphasizing strategies and research that promote inclusivity, critical thinking, and global responsibility.

Representing KSU, Dr. Pinky Larcelle Gas-ib (GCED Focal Person), Dean Brenda Lumines of the College of Education (GCED Co-Focal Person), and Ms. Aleli Langgaman (COED GCED Coordinator) presented the university’s best practices on GCED. Their presentation highlighted KSU’s dedication to embedding GCED principles in its curriculum and outreach programs, showcasing research development, learning materials, and transformative educational practices. The conference provided a valuable platform for international collaboration and knowledge exchange, allowing KSU’s educators to build capacity and strengthen their network with other GCED advocates, ensuring continued advancement in teaching and fostering global citizenship values among students.
