June 25, 2024, Kalinga State University (KSU) took a progressive step in faculty and student development by selecting 100 participants—53 faculty members and 47 students—for advanced upskilling via the ReSkills platform. This initiative, endorsed by the Faculty Training Development Center (FTDC) and approved by University President Dr. Eduardo Bagtang, demonstrates KSU’s commitment to fostering an adaptable, skilled workforce prepared for global opportunities. During the session, attendees engaged in an interactive learning experience, actively seeking clarifications and guidance on using the platform, which boosted their understanding and confidence in leveraging this innovative educational tool.
The program’s success is already evident, with participants having earned 276 international training certificates from diverse online sessions tailored to their areas of specialization. This achievement exceeds KSU’s annual international certifications target, showcasing the faculty and students’ dedication to their professional growth. The initiative’s impact is poised to expand further; upon 300 certificates, KSU will secure 200 additional slots, enabling another year of free participant subscriptions. By integrating this forward-thinking approach, KSU continues to elevate its education and career readiness standards, aligning with its mission to produce highly qualified professionals in a competitive global landscape.
