December 9, 2023 — The Mathematics Student Organization (MaSO) of Kalinga State University (KSU) has proudly joined the National Coordinating Body of Clubs for UNESCO in the Philippines, further aligning the university with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17: Partnerships for the Goals. This membership, effective today, marks a significant milestone in fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and global educational initiatives through UNESCO’s esteemed network.
As a member of the National Coordinating Body, MaSO gains access to many resources and international connections focused on promoting peace, sustainable development, and education reform. This alliance offers MaSO an enhanced platform to engage in projects that promote mathematical literacy, sustainability, and innovation, all aligned with UNESCO’s mission and the SDGs. It contributes directly to SDG 17 by creating an opportunity for KSU students to collaborate on educational and developmental initiatives with peers locally and globally, reinforcing the importance of partnerships in achieving sustainable progress.
