KSU- CLASS Receives Certificate of Institutional Membership from the National Association for Social Work Education, Inc.

The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences has achieved a significant milestone in the field of social work education as it was awarded the Certificate of Institutional Membership by the National Association for Social Work Education, Inc. (NASWEI) on April 23, 2023, signed by the Association President, Dr. Bella Patricia G. Osalvo.

This esteemed recognition acknowledges KSU's active participation and commitment to the association throughout the year 2023.

NASWEI, the national umbrella organization of social work schools and educators in the Philippines, plays a vital role in providing technical assistance and guidance to social work educators across the country. The association sets high standards for the documentation and quality of programs offered by educational institutions seeking certification.

The certification process, which commenced in 2020, required two years of dedication and collaboration between KSU and NASWEI. Under the guidance of the university President Eduardo T. Bagtang and with the unwavering support of the college, KSU successfully maintained a good standing with the organization, leading to the awarding of the prestigious certificate.

Said certificate was awarded by the University President, Dr. Eduardo T. Bagtang to the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Mr. Ronald Bulwayan, along with the Program Chairperson for the Bachelor of Science in Social Work program and the faculty members involved in the program. The ceremony took place today, during the university's flag ceremony, symbolizing the significance and pride associated with this accomplishment.

On the other hand, Mr. Jay France D. Taclawan, Chairperson for the Bachelor of Science in Social Work program said this certificate is an important document for the accreditation.

Receiving the Certificate of Institutional Membership signifies KSU's dedication to upholding excellence in social work education.
