Kalinga State University President, Dr. Eduardo T. Bagtang together with the College of Agriculture Dean and project leader, Dr. Ferdinand Ganotice and Ms. Harriet T. Tenda, IPATH Foundation Inc. president successfully signed a Memorandum of Agreement between KSU and IPATH on the establishment of the Hydroponics Facility in the University, today, August 28, 2024, at the first Floor, Research and Development Hall.
Witnesses during the MOA signing were the two faculty from the College of Agriculture, Mr. Arjay Bedana and Ms. Jamina Siso, Dr. Irene S. Calsiyao and Extension Director, Dr. Divina A. Balocnit with the University Legal Officer, Atty. Brandon Dangatag who reviewed and attested the contents of the MOA.
On the other hand, Engr. James Chinalpan and Hydroponics expert Mr. Anthony Tenda from IPATH Foundation Inc. presented the 3D visuals of the Hydroponics facility which will soon be established in the University, under the College of Agriculture.
Kalinga State University will be the first institution in the province to establish this initiative which will provide an immersion program for agriculture students to enhance their knowledge and skills in innovative agriculture practices.
