KSU Hosts COMELEC-Kalinga’s 2024 Voter Education and ACM Demonstration

The leadership of KSU Preisdent, Dr. Eduardo T. Bagtang was commended earlier today, September 16, 2024, by Commission on Elections (COMELEC) City Election Officer, Atty. Reyman A. Solbita, as he facilitated the COMELEC-Kalinga's 2024 Voter Education and Registration Fair and Automated Counting Machine (ACM) Demonstration at Kalinga State University Gymnasium.

It is through the president’s generosity that the university's gymnasium was utilized to host the conduct of the activity. Highlighting the activity is the conduct of the voter education proper and ACM Demonstration by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Director IV, Election and Information Department, Dir. John Rex Laudiangco. Sample casting votes were applied by various participants to test and witness how the ACM will function on actual election. It was mentioned that the province is privileged to have this demonstration of the 2025 National Election Automated Counting Machine (ACM) as this activity serves to be the first in CAR and second Nationwide.

A Registration Fair also took place right after the program, where all election officers and their staff have set up to cater new registrants from their respective municipalities as well as to cater concerns on transfer of registrations and other concerns.
