The Kalinga State University gymnasium was transformed into an enchanting wonderland on the evening of January 24, 2025, as the university celebrated its Gala Night—a spectacular event that marked the third day of KSU’s founding anniversary celebration. The theme, “Shine, Sparkle, and Celebrate,” brought out the creativity and elegance of the university, with employees dressed as enchanted garden fairies, princes and princesses, Flora and Fauna, gods and goddesses, and mythical beasts.
The gala provided a much-needed opportunity for KSU employees to unwind and bond with one another in a festive and magical atmosphere. The vibrant decor, inspired by fantasy and nature, perfectly complemented the theme, setting the stage for an evening of fun, camaraderie, and recognition.
As part of the festivities, the university took the opportunity to honor its exceptional employees through the prestigious Presidential Citation Awards and a certificate of recognition to the outgoing university officials. These awards recognized individuals who have gone above and beyond in contributing to the growth and success of KSU. The awardees’ dedication and hard work were celebrated amidst cheers and applause, further emphasizing the importance of teamwork and excellence within the university.
President Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor, in her keynote address, highlighted the significance of the event in fostering a sense of unity and gratitude among the employees. “Tonight, we celebrate not just the university’s achievements, but the people who make KSU what it is today. This is a moment to appreciate one another and the roles we play in shaping the future of our beloved institution,” she remarked.
The evening was filled with music, laughter, and entertainment, as employees showcased their talents through various performances, like dancing. The festive spirit was palpable, with everyone embracing the theme and reveling in the joy of togetherness.
The Gala Night not only served as a form of destressing for the hardworking employees but also strengthened the bonds within the KSU family. It was indeed a proof to the university’s commitment to creating a supportive and celebratory environment for its staff, ensuring that their contributions are recognized and valued.
