Mission of the Institution

Kalinga State University shall primarily provide higher and advanced education, professional instruction and training in the arts, agriculture, forestry, social and natural sciences and technology, and other relevant fields of study. It shall also promote and undertake research and extension services, and provide progressive leadership in its areas of specialization.

College Goals:

The College of Business Administration and Accountancy adheres to the following:

  1. Equip the students with the right combination of conceptual, managerial, interpersonal, technical and higher-order thinking skills to be used in a wide array of business and industry settings and other service-oriented institutions.
  2. Develop students’ capabilities to solve problems and make sound business decisions by providing them with a strong foundation on theory, principles, practices, concepts and proper use of analytical tools.
  3. Nurture the personal and social well-being of students to advance leadership capabilities to promote service to the local and wider community.
  4. Equip the students with the required professional competencies, develop critical thinking skills, communication and research skills, to pursue a globally competitive career, whether as an employee or an entrepreneur, through quality classroom instruction and relevant On-the-job Training.

Objectives under research mandate:

  1. To conduct research to investigate the employability and entrepreneurial endeavors of graduates in each of the program who graduated during the previous school year.
  2. Develop at least 2 products that can be commercialized in the community, and which are feasible in the province.

Objectives under the extension mandate:

  1. To strengthen partnership by 80% with LGUs, NGOs, NGA, SMEs and other stakeholders as a result of extension activities;
  2. To increase by 85% the number of extension programs organized and supported consistent with the SUC’s mandated and priority programs;
  3. Extension trainings and advisory services are strengthened by 80% towards enterprise development and are relevant and responsive to local, regional national, and international challenges and demands;
  4. Physical resources towards the end view of increasing CBAA’s Extension Advisory Services Capabilities are increased by 90%.
