Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives

Vision of the Institution

A Knowledge and Technology Hub in Asia-Pacific Region

Mission of the Institution

Kalinga State University shall primarily provide higher and advanced education, professional instruction and training in the arts, agriculture, forestry, social and natural sciences and technology, and other relevant fields of study. It shall also promote and undertake research and extension services, and provide progressive leadership in its areas of specialization.

Goal of the College

            To provide quality Engineering Education through excellent, efficient and effective implementation of relevant and responsive engineering and technology curricular programs for greater equity and access to clientele for local and global competitiveness

Program  Objectives

BS Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering

The BS Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (BSABE program aims to: produce graduates who will:

1. Provide leadership in planning, implementing, and monitoring Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering projects and programs;

2. Occupy supervisory positions in private and public organizations; locally and internationally;

3. Own and/or manage ABE-based business enterprises;

4. Pursue advance studies in ABE and emerging related fields; and

5. Occupy responsible positions in ABE education.

BS Civil Engineering

The BS Civil Engineering (BSCE) program prepares graduates to apply knowledge of mathematics, calculus-based physics, chemistry and at least additional area of basic science, consistent with the BSCE Program Educational Objectives; apply knowledge of four technical areas appropriate to civil engineering; conduct civil engineering experiments and analyze and interpret the resulting data; design a system component, or process in more than one civil engineering context; explain basic concepts in management, business, public policy, and leadership; and explain the importance or professional licensure.

BS Computer Engineering

The BS Computer Engineering (BSCpE) program produce graduates that :

1. possess the ability to design computers, computer-based systems and networks that include both hardware and software and their integration to solve novel engineering problems, subject to trade-offs involving a set of competing goals and constraints. In this context, “design” refers to a level of ability beyond “assembling” or “configuring” systems.

2. have a breath of knowledge in mathematics and engineering sciences, associated with the broader scope of engineering and beyond that narrowly required for the field.

3. acquire and maintain a preparation for professional practice in engineering.

BS Information Technology

The BS  Information Technology (BSIT) program prepares graduates to address various user needs involving the selection, development, application, integration and management of computing technologies within an organization.
