Dr. Pinky Larcelle Gas-ib, the Director for Distance Education, Transnational Education, and International Linkages, is currently participating in the CHED and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) Collaboration Workshop held at UTP in Perak Darul Ridzuan, Malaysia.

This workshop is aimed at fostering a strategic partnership between UTP, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in the Philippines, and Philippine higher education institutions (PHEIs) in the areas of research, innovation, and engineering, with a focus on petroleum and energy.

The key objectives of this workshop include finalizing collaboration models, establishing a consortium with CHED's partner universities, and drafting a Memorandum of Understanding. This initiative aligns with CHED's endeavors to internationalize Philippine higher education, creating visibility and fostering cooperative opportunities for PHEIs.

Scheduled from May 5 to 8, 2024, this workshop seeks to enhance academic opportunities, promote knowledge exchange, facilitate mobility, and elevate the international profile of Philippine higher education. Let us together advance Philippine education on the global stage!
