KSU receives Certificate of Appreciation from GPPB-TSO: President Bagtang Affirms Commitment to Procurement Act

The Kalinga State University proudly accepted the Certificate of Appreciation bestowed by the Government Procurement Policy Board-Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO), recognizing its significant contributions to the successful execution of the Public Procurement Specialist Certification Course since the calendar year 2018.

Said award was received by the University President, Dr. Eduardo T. Bagtang on March 21, 2024, at Quezon City. Concurrently, President Bagtang formally affirmed KSU's steadfast commitment to uphold the principles of the procurement act and extend full support to the endeavors of the GPPB.

The Certificate of Appreciation was presented by Atty. Rowena Candice M. Ruiz, the Executive Director of GPPB-TSO, who commended the university for its dedication to enhancing the professionalism of public procurement practices.

On the other hand, President Bagtang took the opportunity to thank the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary, Amenah F. Pangandaman for the support she extended to KSU, for providing the 125M budget for the second phase of the construction of the library.

Along with president Bagtang were Mr. John John Venus, the university’s Coordinator for GPPB trainings and Mr. Eric Paloy, the ICT’s technical support for procurement trainings, both of whom have played instrumental roles in advancing the university's engagement with GPPB initiatives.

This recognition not only shows KSU's ongoing commitment to excellence but also reaffirms crucial role in fostering best practices in public procurement, thereby contributing to the overall advancement of good governance and accountability in the nation.
